Oboe acquired his name because of his terrible howls when he first arrived at our home.  Bred by Carol and Jake Waymire, he was the product of Am Ch Wisdom’s Class Act out of Am Ch Ranesaw Lady of the Night and was the first and only tri I have ever owned.  Oboe’s first foray into the ring was not an auspicious one; he fought so hard to keep the judge’s hands off him that he was excused.  No one at that time would have thought that he would end up such a ham in the show ring, loving every minute, and actually hiding in the van while it was being prepared for a show just to make sure he wasn’t left behind.  Oboe had a wonderful show career, including a Group 1 from the classes at the very large Mission Circuit in Pomona, California, on his way to his championship. He was a top 10 Saluki based solely on his breeds from the classes. 

We lost Oboe early, at age seven, and we still miss him very much
